The Twilight Zone
The Twilight Zone - An early March storm produced an “out-of-world” view from high on Grandfather Mountain. A temperature inversion produced rime ice below 4,500’ and ice-free trees on Grandfather. Finally the UNC Tower on Grandmother Mountain beckons from signals to-and-from this mystic world.
