Spring on the Black River

This photograph was taken of the Black River was taken on a frosty April morning (30F). Steam was rising from the river while the trees experienced new leaves amidst last year’s Spanish moss. This photograph was taken from the bridge on Highway 41 at the Bladen-Sampson county line.

The Black River is a tributary of the Cape Fear River, approximately 50 mile long, in southeastern North Carolina in the United States.
