The Foothills – A late January view of the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains as viewed from Thunder Hill Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. The sun was setting over Grandfather Mountain and created the glow on the fog in the foothills. An eighty-second time exposure was used to create the softness in the fog.
