Contrast - A southernly view from Grandfather Mountain on this morning provided great contrast between localized valley fog and clouds inth skies above. Another contrast is the warming rays of the early morning sun on the higher elevations while the fog-covered hollows and valleys of the Foothills are still waiting for day. Finally, fall colors are peaking on Grandfather while the foothills are still wearing their summer colors.
