Pemaquid Lighthouse is located near Bristol, Maine at the finger of land separating Johns Bay andMuscongus Bay.  Poorly built in1827 at a cost of $2,800 it had to be rebuilt in 1835.  The tower is only 38 feet high but itss majestically on a granite rock outcropping that jaunts into the Atlantic Ocean.
