The Zion Narrows located in Zion National Park lies beyond the road is accessible only by wading the Virgin River.   The Zion Narrows winds for miles, offering exquisitely colored and carved sandstone walls and new surprises around every bend in the river.  Vertical sandstone walls soar to over 1,500 feet above the river while narrowing as close as 22 feet apart.   Water temperature was still in the mid-40's when this photo was taken in mid-May 2007.
